Angus Amidst the Sage

A couple of years ago I took a late summer drive, winding through the mountains south of us, along the dusty dirt roads. I came across this bunch of cattle lazily grazing among the sage brush. The colors of the scene and the warmth of the air, the smell of sage and dust when I got out of the car to get photos, all came back as I was painting this.
