Hi Subscriber!

I hope you’re having a great day! Can you believe it’s almost August?

It’s only a few days until the first cow painting workshop this coming Saturday! The closer it gets, the more excitement and ideas I have.

For most of my painting career I've thought I didn't like teaching or giving workshops. I spurned the suggestions as a high school student, as you know, if you've read my story

I'm flabbergasted to realize I love it! Has that ever happened to you? Have you believed something about yourself, only to find out later that it wasn't true?

It sure is amazing! It's like a whole new aspect of life that I didn't expect.

I’m excited to see how it goes. The one in Cody was so much fun! I think this will be fun too.

No doubt there will be lots of learning curves along the way. Some things will go just perfectly and others not so much, but it will be fun no matter what!

There may even be online workshops in the future. I hope you'll come along on this new adventure.

We've had Airbnb guests downstairs, off and on, and I've been working between their stays, to begin to transform the space to be more suitable for teaching.

The main area used to have a daybed in it that was very colorful and inviting. But it had to go in order to make space for a painting table and easel.

I was a little sad about that, but also very excited to set up a studio area. The name of our Airbnb is The Painter's Cottage, and now that's literally true!

For awhile at least, it will stay on Airbnb as well. I think it will work wonderfully. (I might have to bring that wicker rocker back into the space)!

It isn’t as colorful yet, as it was with the day bed there, but I think it will get more so as time goes on. One thing I want to do is stain the wall easel so it matches the taboret, which happens to be a repurposed credenza.
