Through Grampa's Gate

I just found out this good news on Friday and wanted to share it with you. It was a great way to end the week, and hopefully begin yours!
It's one of my favorite paintings I've ever done. So, if this one doesn't sell at the show I won't really mind having it back.
What I love about this one is the warm light and strong shadows. Even thought it's a winter scene it doesn't feel cold. And I want to go through that gate, into the sunny field.
I'm still working on getting that feel into all my sunny paintings. It's the feel of light that really gets me
But, back to the show. It will be held at Mockingbird Gallery from September 4 through October 3. I'm not sure yet, whether or not I'll be going.
But, if you're in the area, it would be worth going to see. There are lots of gorgeous paintings in the show!
