Hi Subscriber,
It's been a week of some idea finding, some plein air painting, and finally some studio painting. We had a little camping trip to Meadowlark Lake in the Big Horn mountains where I did a bit of painting.
It was gorgeous up there! Quiet and no cell service. We just wandered around, fished, read a lot and enjoyed doing nothing except soaking it all in.
We sold our little pop up camper a few years ago and decided tent camping was the way to go. We'd only gone once before this trip, so we weren't quite fully prepared.
Unlike our first trip, this time we did have some padding for our cots. But we definitely need more, or better, the next time!
Despite the lack of padding and getting up to a forty-five degree morning, it wasn't too bad once the coffee was done. Wrapping your hands around a steaming cup of coffee, watching the sun begin to light up the lake shore across the water is deeply gratifying.
