Hi Subscriber,
I hope you're off to a great week!
Remember last week I said I had an exciting announcement? It's exciting to me, and I hope it will be for you too!
It started because I have felt all stopped up like an ice jam in a river.
Have you ever seen an ice jam in a river? If so, you know how it looks all crunched and chunked up, pieces of ice piled on top of each other and they just keep piling up more and more.
The water stops flowing as freely and there's a back up in the river until the ice jam gets melted or moved somehow. That's how this year had begun to feel to me.
Like I haven't really painted at all, except for particular things and deadlines. Not just free flowing painting with all the stops pulled out.
So the past couple of weeks I've done a lot of things to dismantle the ice jam! And I've done some no holds barred painting!
Just little ones, and very spontaneous. A few of them are actually keepers!
It's been like a long, cold drink on a really hot day! The kind of drink where you don't care if the water is dribbling down your chin, it just tastes and feels so good!
The exciting part that I mentioned last week is that I plan to offer these smaller paintings, framed and in all three mediums I use. There will be oils, pastels and gouache.
