Hi Subscriber, I hope you're having a wonderful start to the week! We took out the last set of old cabinets in our kitchen remodel, this weekend. No sink for now, so the bathroom sink is doing double duty when necessary. In between getting ready to rip out those cabinets and a trip to Cody to deliver paintings, some progress on the Mountain Oyster paintings has been made. |
This one has been blocked in and the first pass after that has been put in. It's obviously got a ways to go, but I wanted to give you a look to see where it's headed. It's 16" by 20", which is a size I love working with. If I can pull it off, it will look great in one of the minimalist floater frames. I'm super happy to say the evening painting is spoken for and will be sold to a collector soon. That means I need to come up with a new version of an evening scene.
It doesn't HAVE to be an evening scene, but that's what I want to do. I've got four little experiments of different color palettes to see which one I want to pursue.
Hopefully I'll be able to show you next week how that is going as well. Until then, I hope you have a great week! |
Ginny
P.S. What do you think of the painting so far? |
