Hi Subscriber, I hope you're having a fantastic day! Do you remember I told you about having a show at Casper College in conjunction with the Earl Reed show?
Earl Reed was the very first art instructor at Casper College in 1945. I have a painting of his in my dining room.
You may remember the story about how I found out it was he that painted it. Anyway, you can read about that here, if you don't remember it. |
The painting in my dining room, by Earl Reed. The show I'm going to do was slated for August - October of this year. Recently I found out it will be in December - March, which is fantastic!
That gives me many months to create a new body of work for the show. I think the painting of his that I own is a plein air piece from Casper Mountain. Maybe not, but it looks like it could be. So, I'm hoping to have some plein air pieces from Casper mountain as well as other parts around the area, in the show. If you're local to the area, are there any places or subjects in particular you'd like to see paintings of? I always could use ideas for places to paint! |

Here's a painting from a few years ago, a plein air, as an example of a possibility of things to paint. Until next time, I hope you have a great week, |
Ginny
P.S. PLEASE let me know what places you think I should paint for the show! I'd love to hear your ideas. |
